José Arturo Joglar-Cadilla is a Puerto Rican architectural designer living and working in Detroit. He received his M.Arch. and B.S. in Architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy. In Detroit, he works for VolumeOne Design Studio, which specializes in architectural and urban design. José mainly works on multi-family housing development projects in the city of Detroit and on a daily basis researches innovative affordable multi-family housing. He also questions the quality of housing and urban design in the city and how each affects healthy living in order to design in a more conscious and empathetic manner.
