Levi Okla (b. 1994) is a Detroit-based artist. They received their Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from the College for Creative Studies in 2018. Their ethereal collage-drawings employ and transfigure elements of the sacred, mundane, and grotesque from such sources as physiology, film, psychoanalysis, and European medieval art. They are a 2017 recipient of The Detroit Women’s Society of Sculptors and Painters scholarship, and in 2018 had a monograph published by Rotland Press. Okla has participated in numerous local exhibitions, and in 2019 had their first solo show at UFO Factory in Detroit.
