Maddie Duda (born in the Metro-Detroit area, 2003) is a Detroit-based multimedia artist. She is currently in her sophomore year at the College for Creative Studies studying Fiber & Textiles. However, she explores a variety of techniques with an emphasis on painting with acrylic paints and sewing using second-hand materials. Her work draws inspiration from childhood memories and vintage items to explore themes of nostalgia and the contrast between light and dark. With dreamy color palettes and touches of glitter, her work is far from minimalist.
