Reynaldo George Hinojosa Jr is a single father, writer, and musician. He is a SGT in the Army National Guard and part owner to Book Suey, the only cooperatively owned bookstore in the city of Hamtramck, MI. He received his Associate’s in Music from San Antonio College, a Bachelor’s in Multi-Disciplinary Studies and Master’s in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso. When not writing, Reynaldo spends his time practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to maintain a healthy body and mind. To help earn a living, Reynaldo works with the non-profit literary arts organization InsideOut, which for over 25 years has brought poetry to the classroom of Detroit public schools. Reynaldo takes pride in knowing that he is part of this community of writers and poets that continue the legacy of developing young poets.
