Born and raised on the Northwest side of Detroit, you will find the same oil that pumps through the Motor City in will street's work. His work includes the gorgeous linguistic zeitgeist of Great Migration Blacks to the subtle sociological consequences of poverty and homosexuality in urban communities. The writer has been the recipient of two collegiate grants--one earned from an original full-length play, the other from a directorial concept of Shakespeare's Othello. He uses writing as an outlet for the Deboisian quadruple consciousness of blackness and sexuality.
