Karpov is a visual storyteller and photographer who specializes in documenting migration from war-torn countries to Europe. His two books, Despite It All We Never Learn (which is a collection of refugee testimonials) and A Small Corner of Hell (which is a collection of photographs and stories), truly showcase his expertise in 35mm film and his love for French cinema. Karpov's main goal is to capture the stories and struggles of marginalized communities in places such as Syria, Iraq, Serbia, and Ukraine. He is truly passionate about giving voice to the silenced and advocating for the forgotten. His work is an important contribution to the world, as it brings awareness to the harsh realities that many people face in their daily lives. In both his work and his devotion to his craft, Karpov inspires a sense of change in the world.
